Nooristan Foundation, established in 1999 in the United States by Afghan refugees, is a Section 501 (c)(3) non-profit that provides education, training, and rural development in Afghanistan.

Nooristan Foundation currently has three initiatives- EnLighten a Mind to provide education to street children, EnCourage an Entrepreneur to provide tailoring training to women in poverty, and EmPower a Village to provide micro-hydro electricity and basic education in remote villages.

Nooristan Foundation has worked with several reputable organizations to implement projects and independently monitors projects to promote effectiveness and transparency.
